偶遇一老同事 - 文学城名博博主

Today, when I was scanning through the list of blogs, I came across with a 文学城名博。I happen to see the photos of the 博主blogger (DZ)- he was an old classmate and colleague of mine! How uncommon that was! DZ and I came to the US under the same scholarship in 1988. We visiting scholars, more than a dozen, stayed together in the same house at the campus of UCSF. DZ and I then worked together for 2 years in a lab of CPMC in San Francisco, researching on molecular hematology and HIV viruses. We were roommates then. Following that, we both went to the Silicon Valley to work at biotech. DZ Worked in the field of stem cells , and I was involved in developing therapeutic monoclonal antibodies. We worked for different start up companies. Then, he started medical residency training 1996 and I in 1997. Following the internal medicine 3 years residency, we both went to the same subspecialty for 3 more years of training. Since then, we both have been in practice. It has been years since we last saw each other at a national medical conference. Time flies. We both have aged! There were numerous shared experiences, and they maybe told some days. 

I was able to read some postings of DZ’s. It is very nice to know the author of those articles. I have a better appreciation of the ideas and experiences from those articles. 

I feel inspired by reading the writings from couple of bloggers that I know in person. Yes, I will continue finding time to write. I am hoping my thoughts will be appreciated by somebodies.
