I read your inspiring posts. Thank you so much for sharing many great ideas.
I have been a landlord for over 10 years. While accumulating more rental properties over years, my time also got stuck on property management more and more, which negatively affects my life quality. Recently I started to transfer my assets from real estate to stock market (investing in index fund). It has been pretty good. But it's mainly due to the bull market itself rather than my investment skills.
I feel in long term (10-30 years range), index funds will do just as good as (if not better than) rent property investment while avoiding many hidden risks and requiring way less time. And I am thinking to gradually transfer all assets from rental properties to index funds. What is your thought on it?
I am located in southern California. If you don't mind, can you tell me where are you located? If we live not far away from each other, we can get together to discuss investment in person .
Thank you for your time.
