Apples, Apples

Apples, apples, ripen in the autumn
Red, green and golden
Some dropped  on the ground, being rotten
Some hang on the trees, waiting to be taken

Saturday, sunny day, apple-picking day
You pick, I pick, other people help
Big apples, small apples,  all fill into the barrels
Some are rosy and pretty, some have blemish and look ugly

There are so many apples to touch
Sort them out and wrap them up
Overjoyed with the great harvest
Delighted by the scent of the apples

Apples are sweet, apples are tart and apples are crunchy
Apples are so good to eat
An apple a day keeps the  doctors away
Drink a cup  of apple juice, forget all the worries

Apple cake, apply strudel and apple pie
Those are the comfort foods that we all like
Share with neighbours , share with friends
Everybody has a big smile
